On November 12th, the QUSA board voted to incorporate a question about environmental considerations into the funding process. Nich Godri, Director of the Environment, reflects on this new procedure:
"When I took on this role as Director of Environmental in September I realize that we had little environmental procedure. This struck me as something that, as a body that advocates for environmental consciousness and justice, would be necessary. The hope is that through this addition, folks will be prompted to think about the environmental implications of their projects and ultimately reduce the negative impacts associate student initiatives. As we move through the political rhetoric alarming us of the current state of climate emergency, it is important to recognize that there are tangible things that we can do to limit our own contributes. When it comes to our environmental impacts, every bit counts."
