Luke Urso

A fourth-year whose loved ones sometimes see his interest in trees and forests to be a problem, Luke is best known for his appreciation of all things nature. He can be found throwing pottery, fly fishing, conversing with a tree, or late at night in a break-out room because he spent all day throwing pottery, fly fishing and talking to trees. When he wasn’t counting barnacles in Tomales Bay, he spent his summer co-authoring a paper on coastal species climate migration with visiting tutor Dr. Heidi Weiskel of ELAW and UBC bioeconomist Dr. Rashid Sumaila. As Chairperson he plans to ensure that QUSA’s first year as an independent society lays a strong foundation for future Questies.

Luke uses he/him pronouns.
