Quest University’s fourth annual Power, Race and Privilege Symposium will take place on the unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh peoples. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work and learn in this blessed territory.
This Symposium is a student created and organized event that is hosted by the Quest University Students' Association with support from the Office of the President. The symposium aims to foster critical awareness and dialogue about the dynamics of racial oppression and inequality. By putting Quest faculty and students in conversation with other respected scholars and activists, we hope to deepen our understanding of the ways that power and marginalization function both on our campus and beyond.
We are excited and honoured to learn from a wide range scholars and activists who bring with them diverse understandings of oppression and resistance. We acknowledge that there are many other stories and ways of knowing that exist and hope that we can be one small part of broader movements for liberation.
We, the student organizers and the Quest community, invite you to participate in this free event! For those that cannot attend in person, the event will be live streamed and publically available for viewing.
